Yates is situated at the top of North Hill in Head St. in town. It is open every day, serving food and drink during the day with wi-fi and televisions showing sports, it then transforms into a club at night. They have an extensive food menu, which is displayed on their website. This includes a breakfast menu, lunchtime deals, grills, low calorie meals, sharers, Yates favourites, and desserts. Along with their great food and drink deals in the daytime, Yates is the place to be for a good night out. There is also a substantial drinks menu, also on their website, with many well priced drinks. Drinks at Yates are ideally priced for students with many cocktails, pints, bombs and pitchers along many others. Great food and drinks menus aside, Yates hosts many themed nights as well as regular club nights. Along with hosting the usual occasions of the year, New Years parties, St. Patrick’s day parties etc. they also provide other weekly entertainment. Next week from Thursday the 27th to Saturday the 29th of March; Yates are hosting a Rockstar Weekender including cheap drinks, inflatable guitars for sale, and an air guitar competition. Everyday they have a cocktail promotion, 2 cocktails for £6.95, whereas they are usually £4.50 each. Yates really try to help you save the pennies! On Tuesdays they carry on this promotion, along with many drinks at £1.50. These Tuesday nights are hosted by DJ Krissi D from 9pm onwards.
Yates plays great current music, and creates a great atmosphere for a good night out. With a spacious bar and dance floor, plenty of places to sit and an outside area, Yates creates a great setting for a perfect start to the night, or accommodates a great night spent in Yates alone. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good venue for a night out, especially for those who aren’t looking to spend lots of money on a night out. Yates also cater for bookings if you wish to have a party at their venue.
